We all want to win people over at one point or another. Whether it’s your 5 year old who you want to get dressed, or your spouse that you want to convince to have what you want for dinner. Or, maybe it’s a client that you’re trying to win over to work with you or go through your process your way. Here are my steps for winning people over.
Taking Criticism Like a Boss
Let’s talk about taking criticism. As business owners or as humans, we work through new situations and get new feedback from clients, friends, colleagues, your dog, whoever. It doesn’t always feel good. You come home from work, your dog pooped on the rug, that’s feedback, you were gone too long. I want you to be able to take it like a boss, learn from it, be better.
It Might be Broke
Finally getting back to writing since I broke my brain by getting a concussion and does it ever feel good to not feel so sick, dizzy and exhausted after everything I do! Still not 100% but I am back to running, slowly, and it’s just great to get out and play again. So, today’s blog is talking about if it might be broke, it’s okay to fix it.
Are you Listening?
Naturally, I am always watching people’s selling styles in hopes to learn something new and see what isn’t working for them so I don’t make the same mistakes. I had two memorable meetings with sales people last week and unfortunately, they didn’t impress. SOOOO, I wanted to share what I felt were their pitfalls so that we can all learn from them.
Be Thoughtful vs Reactionary when Making Decisions
As Entrepreneurs or just busy humans, we are making thousands of decisions every day or even hour. There are so many decisions to be made that some become habit or reactionary to the situation. Lately, as my own decisions have been piling up, I found myself not being care-ful or thoughtful about the decisions I was making, so thought I’d bring it to your attention so you know you’re not alone, and there are some ways out of it.
What the hell is a Sales Process?
There is evidently lots to learn when starting or operating a business. You sell one cupcake at a farmer’s market and now you’re going into business. You keep selling and delivering cupcakes, but is there a method to your madness? Could someone else step into replace you at a moments notice? What happens when you need to hire someone else to sell cupcakes with you? Will they understand what to do? Cupcakes aside, my tips for getting a little process into your biz so you can grow, step back or make time for you.

Timeliness + Professionalism
Can we take a minute and talk about timeliness & professionalism? Working as a professional for the past decade, I have a great appreciation and respect for both timeliness and professionalism You know me, I’m always preaching about setting expectations. All you have to do is set the expectation and meet expectation to make people happy. And, if you exceed it, they will be screaming your name from rooftops. It's rare in our society that people actually set meet or exceed expectations. How frustrating is that?! And, well, kind of embarrassing. It’s so simple and so overlooked.
